The Tenorio Volcano National Park in Costa Rica is home to the beautiful Cote Lake. The park is open daily from 8am to 4pm and the entrance fee is $15 for adults and $5 for children. The official website is https://www.sinac.go.cr/EN-US/ac/actv/pnv/Pages/default.aspx.
Apart from the lake, visitors can also hike to the Tenorio Volcano, which is a challenging but rewarding experience. The park offers guided tours, which can be booked in advance. The nearby town of Bijagua also offers opportunities for adventure activities like ziplining and horseback riding. The town also has several restaurants and souvenir shops.
The park is approximately a 2-hour drive from Liberia International Airport and a 4-hour drive from San Jose International Airport. It is recommended to visit during the dry season (December to April) for the best weather conditions.
